Secrets Of Goals, Objectives And
Making Dreams Into Reality
Learn why to set goals, where goal setting works, and how goals you can benefit from goals
There is nothing like reaching your goals and making your
dreams into reality. Dreaming serves as the inspiration that sets the target
for all success goals and implementing your will.
Could you imagine a living life without any objectives
aspirations? Without the purpose and aim of setting goals life would be the
equivalent of walking in circles for decades. Unfortunately, as one great
speaker educates, if you are not working on your own goals you are destined to
be working on the goals of others.
Successful people rely on goals to keep them on track with
their ambitions. They use their goals to create objectives and "to-do
lists" eventually stripping out the unnecessary tasks to get at the
actions that lead to their goals. Goals are really a habit of planning and
setting objectives that lead to the achievement of your success goals.
When a goal reaching program is structured correctly it
prepares the goal seeker for the days and months ahead for the attainment of
the objective. Large ambitions are broken down into components and
systematically tackled throughout time. This helps make seemingly impossible
goals more easily reachable by focusing on tasks that are essential to the
larger goal.
Goal setting works - no matter what you want to achieve
Goal achievement can be implemented in all parts of your
life. For example you might set physical goals, mental goals, wealth goals, and
social goals. Your physical goals might include weight loss, improving flexibility,
running a marathon, or learning a martial art like
Contemporary Jeet Kune Do. Mental goals could be to improve
your ability to speak in public, finishing a certificate program or degree, or
reading a book a month about your field to get ahead. No matter what your
objectives are reaching your goals is easier with a systematic well thought out
approach to attaining your goals.
Use wisely chosen goal objectives to accelerate your success.
There are many choices in goal types when it comes to
selection of which objectives to work on first. However, if you can keep in
mind your overall objectives and direction, you can make wise smart goal
choices that progress on the success of most if not all your ambitions at once.
For example, if you want to lose weight, become more productive at work, and
read at least one book every month we need to step back and find the common
ground where we can work on skills that correspond to each of these objectives.
Each of these objectives takes time which is you most
precious asset. So how we need to find the ways to either find more time or
become more productive. One possible solution for our objectives is to wake up
earlier. Studies show that some of the most productive and highest income
earners wake up early each day. I can tell you from experience once you
establish this habit you will find that you have more time. There are several
reasons for this which is detailed in most time management books and courses.
Two benefits that help our goals are increased preparedness and increased
clarity of mind at the start of your workday which is perfect for our set of
objectives.
If we couple getting up early with exercising, we have now
created an extra benefit for ourselves. Exercise is known to increase your
metabolism for hours after the workout and aid in mental clarity. So what have
we achieved so far by asserting to wake up early and working out? The workouts
will stoke the metabolism aiding with weight loss and getting the workout early
in the day. The workout will also keep us awake and alert for our workday which
will aid in our productivity at the office.
As you may know, most workout routines suggest that you
should train 3 times a week with resistance training and at least 2 times with
cardio vascular type routine. So on the non-resistance days you can read a book
while using a recumbent bike or stair stepping machine. Just 20 minutes reading
while exercising 2 times a week should allow you finish a book of average
length in a month.
If we stay on track we should achieve our three goals.
Working out in the morning first thing helps our weight loss goal. Waking up
early causes us to plan for the day ahead which will help our professional work
goal. Reading during the appropriate workouts help us achieve our personal
reading goals.
This is a good start to reaching your goals, but these are
only short term objectives. This helps us achieve good habits, but where do we
want all of this to lead? To truly have a lifetime of achievement we need to
set short, medium, and long term goals.
